Creature Thumbnails

I sketched out some thumbnails of little creatures from my imagination. I found it difficult after sketching the first 4 thumbnails as I had no direction in mind and was just forming characters based off scribes I layyed down on the page. Whilst doing these I learnt how limited my creativity is when I don't have reference available so for future creative sketches I should start thinking about back story to the characters I draw and draw with reference on hand. However on the other hand I learned how to form shapes based off scribbles layed down on the page. I used a ballpoint pen for these sketches. I love drawing with pen I have to say more so then pencil.
