Usually before designing something I normally do a sketch then paint over the sketch. I decided to step out of my comfort zone and design purely using color. I took a large brush and blocked in the silhouette of the overall head using a skin tone then I just started painting form directly on top. I found this exercise extremely difficult but stuck with it. I am trying to develop a variety of design approaches so I can approach any future design problems with less difficulty.
